Active XCavator 1.0: ActiveX Detection

Note: This application works with Windows 95/NT only.

Active XCavator 1.0 lists ActiveX controls installed by Internet Explorer 3.0 or later. You can see all the information about the control, such as the name, size and location of the file. If you have an ActiveX control that is very large, doesn't work properly, or was downloaded by accident, Active XCavator lets you delete it. If you delete a control by mistake, all you have to do is return to the original web site from which the control was installed and it will automatically be installed again.

You can run Active XCavator 1.0 right now from the CD-ROM, from inside your browser.

You can copy XCavate.EXE from the \XCAVATE directory of the CD-ROM to your hard drive and run it from there.

Need more information? You can find it--and possibly an updated version of the application--at http://www.winmag.com/software/xcavate.htm
